Today is the first anniversary of the arrival of David de Rothschild’s Plastiki into Sydney Harbour.

The boat, made entirely of recycled plastic, was created to illustrate the practical possibilitites for recycled plastic – the boat survived a four month voyage from San Francisco and Pacific storms.
